Brian Little has turned down the chance to be come part of Simon Grayson`s backroom staff.

Little who was relieved of his duties at Wrexham earlier on in the season says that he doesn`t want to up root his young family from their home in the Midlands.

Speaking in the YEP Little said ‘Simon has spoken to me, but having a young family means the location and the travelling involved isn’t ideal for me. With the location of Leeds and my location, it would involve a 240-mile round trip every day, which just isn’t ideal’

55 year old Little has a bag full of experience having managed nine clubs in the football league since 1986 when he started with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Simon Grayson played for Brian Little during their time at Leicester City together when he led them to three consecutive championship play off finals, finally winning the last one after two previous defeats.

Continuing to speak about his former player, Little said ‘I’d have loved to work with Simon Grayson and I think he has the potential to become a great manager.’

Leeds fans will remember him as he was the man in charge of Aston Villa when they beat Leeds in the 1996 League Cup final 3-0.

Leeds attention may now turn to former Whites favourite Glynn Snodin who was Alan Curbishley`s coach at West Ham until he was sacked recently and is currently number two to Nigel Worthington with Northern Ireland.
