Eric Lichaj would consider a return to Elland Road next season if his chances at Aston Villa remain limited.

The American enjoyed the last three month`s of the season at Elland Road, making sixteen consecutive appearances.

The defender managed just eight games appearances at Villa Park with him facing stiff competition for the right back position.

The 22 year old as admitted that he would welcome a return to Leeds, speaking in the Yorkshire Evening Post , Lichaj said, “If the right circumstances came around, I`d be glad to come back here. Everyone has been great, the players, the coaching staff and fans.
“Playing the amount of games has probably been the best thing. I came here to play and I played 13 or 14 or something, which is always good. It`s the longest stretch in my career and it`s good to get that under my belt.

Lichaj also showed his versatility whilst at Leeds and played a number of games at left back.

He quickly endeared himself to the Leeds fans with his defending and also his willingness to help out in attack with his overlapping runs down the wing.

Lichaj was probably the most consistent player in a Leeds shirt over the final three months of the season after making his debut at Bristol City in February.
