LUFC Let’s break some records

Leeds will be looking to make it a magnificent seven when they travel to Colchester on Saturday.

Simon Grayson`s charges are looking to equal a club record that was set back in 1973 under the great Don Revie side, by winning their first seven games of the season. The Revie side went on to clinch the First Division title that season.

It`s the best position Leeds have been in since being relegated to League One in 2007 at the end of August.

In their first season in League One in the 2007/08 season they won their first seven league games in a row, their only defeat in between was a Carling Cup loss at Portsmouth.

Unfortunately as all Leeds fans will remember the side had started the season on minus fifteen points.

Simon Grayson a life long Leeds United fan will realise probably more than most what the achievement will mean if they can equal the record on Saturday.

They are also on the verge of breaking a fourty year record at Elland Road, if the team can beat Stockport County at Elland Road next Saturday it will be the first time the club have ever recorded fourteen consecutive home League wins.
