Young defender Tom Lees says the defence have been working together to try and sort out their defensive frailties.

After conceding 70 goals in the championship last season, the Leeds defence are continuing in the same vain this season, having yet to keep a clean sheet and conceding eleven goals in six championship games so far this season.

Lees says him and his defensive colleagues have been working together to try to sort out the problems in defence. Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Lees said, “It`s about keeping the ball out of the net and we haven`t been doing it. We`ve been having a chat to each other and seeing what we can do better in terms of the team collectively defending.”

The 20 year old is enjoying his breakthrough at Elland Road after spending two very productive seasons on loan at Accrington Stanley and Bury.

The youngster who came through the Leeds academy helped Bury to promotion from League Two last season and was an almost ever present for the shakers.

Lees made his first appearance for Leeds in the Carling Cup clash, as a substitute against Bradford City in August and he has since established himself as the regular right back.

The defender can also play in the centre of defence and he also as an eye for goal, notching his first goal in Leeds colours against Hull City.
