Leeds United are waiting to hear the results of scans on defender Ben Parker`s injured calf.

Speaking on the official website boss Simon Grayson said “He`s had a scan and we are waiting on the results of that. Hopefully its nothing to severe and he`ll be back as soon as possible”.

The defender has had terrible luck this season with injury and was making his first start on Saturday since the opening day of the season when he suffered a hamstring injury.

He was close to a return when he required surgery on a hip injury, which kept him out until the New Year.

He was once again close to a return after a few appearances for the reserves when he suffered a further injury that delayed his comeback by a couple of weeks.

Parker looked back to his old self on Saturday with an accomplished performance in the left back position when he suffered the calf injury on the hour mark.

Grayson continued, “I think everyone felt for him because it has been a very tough year for him, but he has worked so hard in coming back”.

Understandably, the frustrated Parker left the field in tears as he probably realised this latest injury would rule him out of the final few games for Leeds this season.
