Vital Leeds United looks at the head-to-head record against West Ham United at Elland Road over the years ahead of the game on Saturday.

The two sides have met on 50 previous occasions with Leeds winning 34, West Ham 7 and 9 have been drawn.

The first ever meeting came during the 1920/21 season when West Ham won 2-1 with Leeds goal coming from Albert Thompson.

Leeds first win came in the third meeting in the 1922/23 season when a hat trick from Percy Whipp secured a 3-1 win.

There has only ever been two goalless draws between the two at Elland Road with the last one coming during Leeds championship winning season of 1991/92 and the one prior to this being in the 1971/72 season.

Leeds biggest win came during the 1926/27 season in their last home game of the season.

Goals from John White, Bobby Turnbull and four goals from Russell Wainscoat secured a 6-3 win in a season when they were relegated from the top flight.

West Ham`s biggest win has been 3-1 on two occasions in the 1929/30 and 1948/49 seasons.

Leeds have lost just one of the last fourteen fixtures between the two dating back to 1981/82.

West Ham have failed to score on eight of the last twelve visits to Elland Road.

The last time the two sides met, Leeds won a championship encounter 2-1 during the 2004/05 season.

Rob Hulse gave Leeds an early second half lead only for it to be cancelled out by Gavin Williams.

Leeds clinched all three points thanks to a late strike by Shaun Derry.
