History

The two clubs have only ever met nine times at Elland Road, Leeds have yet to taste defeat with six wins from the nine games.

Probably the most famous clash at Elland Road was back in the 2003/04 season when the two clubs clashed in the Carling Cup, with only 13 minutes left on the clock the League One side led 2-0 against their illustrious Premiership opposition.
Ian Harte pulled one back to set up a tense finale, with four minutes of added time almost up Leeds won a corner, goalkeeper Paul Robinson ventured forward to plant a header past the hapless Griemink in the Swindon goal, it was a header that any centre forward would have been proud of.
After 30 minutes extra time with no further goals scored the tie went to penalties, Swindon once again took the advantage when Ian Harte hit a post with his penalty, Paul Robinson became the hero for a second time when he saved Miglioranzi and then Gurney`s penalties to send the Whites through to round three.

The two clubs have already met this season at the County Ground, Leeds took the spoils with a 3-1 victory thanks to two goals from Jermaine Beckford and an howler from Swindon`s keeper Smith when he allowed Kilkenny`s long range free kick to somehow go through his body and into the net. The result was made all the more pleasing after having to play for over 80 minutes with ten men after Alan Sheehan was sent off for a reckless tackle.
