Leeds United manager Simon Grayson is sweating on the fitness of captain Johnny Howson for the clash with Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

Howson suffered a hamstring injury in Leeds last game at Sheffield United that forced him to pull out of the England under 21 squad last week.

Grayson will monitor the fitness of Howson who is the only Leeds player to start all 38 league games so far this season.

Jake Livermore will go into the squad after joining on loan from Tottenham Hotspur last week.

Billy Paynter will be missing after his sending off at Sheffield United and he starts the first of a three-match ban.

Patrick Kisnorbo remains the only player on the sidelines as he continues his recovery from surgery on his Achilles.

Forest welcome back Marcus Tudgay to the squad after he was forced to miss the trip to Swansea through illness.

Paul Konchesky looks set to miss out after suffering a hamstring injury at Swansea.

Forest manager Billy Davies has a number of players on the sidelines with Rob Earnshaw, Dexter Blackstock, Guy Moussi, Robbie Findley and Kelvin Wilson all out through injury.
