Leeds United and Leicester City lock horns at Elland Road on Tuesday night, both hoping to book their place in the third round of the Carling Cup.

Leeds
Leeds won their first league game of the season on Saturday when they beat Millwall 3-1 at home.

So far this season they have won one, drawn one and lost one.

In the first round of the competition, they easily dispatched of Lincoln City 4-0 at home.

Leicester
The Foxes were on the wrong end of a 3-0 beating at Burnley on Saturday.

They have started slowly this season under new manager Paolo Sousa, gaining just one point from their first three games.

In the first round of the competition, they made hard work of beating League Two side Macclesfield Town 4-3 at home.

History

Leeds United have met no club more times than Leicester City in their history. They have met on 113 occasions in total with 55 at Elland Road.

Leeds have won 31 of these games with 11 wins to Leicester and 13 draws.

Despite all these games they have only ever met on four occasions in the cup and they have all come in the League Cup in the past twenty years.

Both sides have won on two occasions each.
