The two sides have met on 32 previous occasions with Leeds winning 16, Ipswich 7 and 9 draws.

Leeds have won just three of the last eleven encounters at Elland Road since 1988.

The first encounter between the two sides came during the 1954/55 season when Leeds won 4-1 thanks to two goals each from Harold Brook and Peter Vickers.

Ipswich enjoyed their first win on their next visit to Elland Road during the 1960/61 season when they won 5-2.

The last time the two sides met the game finished 1-1 with Ipswich scoring a last minute equaliser that condemned Leeds to relegation from the Championship.
