Eddie Ilderton will be the man with the whistle when table toppers Leeds United welcome Hartlepool United on Boxing Day.

The North East official has taken charge of 18 games so far this season showing 50 yellow cards and 2 reds.

Ilderton missed the whole of last season but in the 2007/08 season he refereed 30 games showing 66 yellow cards and 3 reds.

He`s already taken charge of a Leeds game this season when the whites ran out comfortable 3-0 winners over Tranmere Rovers at Elland Road, on that occasion he showed 3 yellow cards.

The last time he took charge of a Hartlepool game was in the 2006/07 season when they beat Rotherham United 3-1 at home, on that occasion he showed 3 yellow cards and 2 reds.
