Leeds United and Hartlepool United meet for the first time this season in the Boxing Day clash at Elland Road on Saturday.

Leeds have a virtually fully fit squad to pick from with Bradley Johnson returning last weekend on the substitutes bench.

Goalkeeper Shane Higgs is reported to have suffered a setback in his recovery from the thigh strain that`s kept him out since October and will be missing.

Ben Parker who hasn`t played since the opening day of the season is also still sidelined with his hip injury.

Hartlepool hope to welcome back Neal Austin to the squad after he returned to training, the defender has missed the last fortnight with a hamstring injury.

Ben Clark is back in contention after missing last weeks game through suspension.

Colin Larkin (hamstring) and Steve Haslam (hernia) have both returned to training but are not expected to play this weekend.

Leeds born Andy Monkhouse will definitely be missing after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season last weekend.
