Leeds entertain Gillingham on Saturday hoping to continue with their immaculate home form.

Form

Leeds

The Whites have played three league games at Elland Road so far this season winning them all, they beat Exeter on the opening day 2-1 and have followed this up with a 3-0 win over Tranmere and a 2-0 win over Stockport.

The side broke a fourty year club record against Stockport when they made it fourteen straight home league wins.

Last time out they lost their 100% start to the season when they drew 0-0 at Southend.

Gillingham

The Gills have had a good start to the season after gaining promotion form League Two last season. They have won three, drawn one and lost three.

On their travels they have lost two at Tranmere 4-2 and Colchester 2-1 and drawn at Walsall 0-0.

They have won their last two games, both at home against Exeter 3-0 and Millwall 2-0.

They are currently in eight spot with ten points from seven games.

History

The two clubs have only ever met eight times and six of those have come this century.

Gillingham have yet to record a win at Elland Road in four attempts, the closest they came was a 1-1 draw in 2005.

When the clubs last met in 2007/08, the first game at the Prestfield Stadium brought to an end Leeds seven match winning streak at the start of the season. It was in controversial circumstances though, Danny McDermid was the referee (he had a shocker recently when we played Stockport) sent off both Beckford and Kandol for two bookable offences. Leeds held on until deep into injury time when Gillingham equalised.

In the return game, Leeds rested a number of first team players as the club got ready for the Play Offs. Gillingham needed a victory to have any chance of avoiding relegation, they looked on their way when Simeon Jackson gave them a first half lead. Leeds hit back in the second half and goals from Bradley Johnson and Tresor Kandol won the game for the Whites.
