Leeds United and Coventry City meet at Elland Road on Tuesday night with Leeds having an outstanding home record against the sky blues over the years.

The two sides have met on 40 previous occasions with Leeds winning 29, there have been 9 draws and just 2 Coventry wins.

The first ever meeting came during the 1920/21 season when Leeds ran out 4-0 winners thanks to goals from Albert Thompson (2), George Mason and Merton Elison.

Leeds won the first six encounters before Coventry left Elland Road with their first point in a 3-3 draw during the 1949/50 season.

Coventry`s two successes at Elland Road have come in 1976/77 (1-2) and 1995/96 (1-3).

Since the defeat during the 1995/96 season, Leeds have won the last seven encounters, including last season when a Davide Somma goal was enough to secure a 1-0 win for Leeds.

The 1-0 win help Leeds secure the double over Coventry have won at the Ricoh Arena 3-2 in November thanks to goals from Jonny Howson, Robert Snodgrass and a Max Gradel penalty.
