Leeds United welcome Cardiff City to Elland Road on Sunday hoping to end a terrible winless run against the bluebirds.

Leeds have lost the last six meetings between the two sides and have not won any of the last eleven between the two, stretching back to the 1983/84 season when a George McCluskey goal earned Leeds all three points in a 1-0 win at Ninian Park.

Cardiff were one of only two sides to complete the double over Leeds last season, the other being Derby.

They were also the only side to defeat Leeds in the championship between in a twenty game period. Cardiff were the last side to defeat Leeds in October 2010 when they left Elland Road with a 4-0 win and they completed the double at the Cardiff City Stadium with a 2-1 win in January 2011.

Leeds have failed to score in their last three home games against Cardiff and have now gone 346 minutes since their last goal against them at Elland Road when Simon Walton netted in a 1-1 draw during the 2004/05 season.

Despite the poor run in recent games, Leeds still have a good record at Elland Road. Out of 24 games, Leeds have won 11, drawn 6 and lost 7.

The first ever meeting between the two at Elland Road came during the 1920/21 season, when Cardiff won a Second Division clash 2-1.

Leeds enjoyed their first win at Elland Road during the 1925/26 season when they won 1-0.

Leeds biggest win came during the 1947/48 season when they won 4-0. Cardiff enjoyed their biggest win last season when they won by the same margin.
