Leeds United welcome Brighton and Hove Albion to Elland Road on Saturday hoping to rediscover their pre Christmas form.

Leeds have taken just six points from their seven league games since the turn of the year.

Last time out at home they suffered their first home defeat for 26 games when they went down 2-1 to Walsall.

The Whites are currently second in League One, four points behind Norwich and three points clear of Colchester in third.

The Seagulls were very unlucky to go down to league leaders Norwich City 2-1 at home in their last outing.

Last time out on their travels they drew 1-1 at Leyton Orient.

Brighton actually have a better away record than home record this season and have won five, drawn six and lost four.

They currently fill the last relegation spot but only on goal difference to Gillingham, Brighton also have a game in hand.

The two sides have met fifteen times at Elland Road with Leeds winning nine and Brighton the solitary one.

Leeds only defeat to Brighton at Elland Road came during the Christmas period of 1985/86 when the visitors ran out 3-2 winners.

In the corresponding fixture last season Leeds won 3-1 thanks to two goals from Jermaine Beckford and one from Luciano Becchio.

The two sides have already met at Brighton this season with Leeds running out comfortable 3-0 winners thanks to goals from Robert Snodgrass, Jermaine Beckford and Neil Kilkenny.
