Leeds United head coach Thomas Christiansen will have a huge selection headache ahead of the clash with Preston North End this weekend.

Christiansen made nine changes to the side for the League Cup tie with Port Vale in midweek from the one that beat Bolton Wanderers last weekend.

Samuel Saiz scored a hat-trick on his debut and Caleb Ekuban also scored on his debut against Port Vale.

Cameron Borthwick-Jackson is pushing for his first league start after arriving from Manchester United this week.

Leeds will welcome influential defender Pontus Jansson back into the squad. Jansson completed his three-match suspension when he sat out the Port Vale win.

Goalkeeper Rob Green is hoping to shake off an injury in time for the game but he is once again expected to be named amongst the substitutes with Felix Wiedwald preferred in goal.

Gaetano Berardi and Matthew Pennington remain sidelined through injury.

Preston boss Alex Neil is waiting on the fitness of Josh Harrop. The youngster is still waiting to make his Preston debut since joining them from Manchester United this summer.

Jordan Hugill will be hoping to retain his place after coming into the side and scoring twice in the midweek cup defeat at Accrington Stanley.

Tom Clarke remains sidelined for the Lilywhites.
