Both Darren O`Dea and Robert Snodgrass were involved in international action in midweek.

O`Dea enjoyed an excellent game alongside Richard Dunne at the heart of the Republic of Ireland defence as they held out for a 0-0 draw against Russia in Moscow.

The on loan defender replaced the suspended Sean St Ledger in the starting line up and put in a number of excellent tackles and blocks, as Ireland came under immense pressure from the group leaders throughout the game.

Trialist Mikael Forssell was again in the Finland side for their home group E qualifier against Holland.

Forssell was substituted with four minutes remaining as Holland won 2-0.

Robert Snodgrass was amongst the substitutes, in Scotland`s Euro qualifier with Lithuania at Hampden Park.

Snodgrass came off the bench with six minutes remaining, replacing former Leeds loan player Barry Bannan.

Scotland won 1-0 thanks to a Steven Naismith goal to keep alive their hopes of a play off place.

Ramon Nunez was once again missing from the Honduras side as they were beaten 3-0 by Paraguay.

Aidan White won his third cap in the past month for Republic of Ireland under 21`s.

White finished on the losing side as Turkey beat Ireland 1-0 in their Under 21 European 2013 qualifier.

In management, it was a bad night for former Leeds players.

Gary Speed saw his Wales side lose 1-0 at Wembley against England with Robert Earnshaw missing an absolute sitter for the Welsh in the final fifteen minutes to earn a draw.

Northern Ireland who are managed by former defender Nigel Worthington with current Leeds coach Glynn Snodin as his assistant were hammered 4-1 in Estonia.
