Four Leeds United players were involved on international duty in midweek, with three players making their first starts.

Robert Snodgrass enjoyed an excellent night on his first start for Scotland.

The 23 year old won his third cap and scored the winner in a 2-1 win over Denmark at Hampden Park.

Scotland had earlier led through a Charlie Adam goal before a bad error of judgement by goalkeeper Alan McGregor allowed Denmark back into the game.

Snodgrass scored the winner with two minutes remaining of the first half when he stooped low to head home.

He completed 87 minutes before being substituted late in the game.

There was also a first start for his country for Max Gradel.

Gradel completed the 90 minutes in his second appearance, as Ivory Coast beat Israel 4-3 in Abidjan

The 23-year-old set up Moussa Kone for the third goal as Ivory Coast raced into a 3-0 lead. Israel hit back to make it 3-2, before Chelsea striker Didier Drogba made it 4-2 from the penalty spot. Israel pulled another back with two minutes remaining in an exciting friendly.

On loan defender Darren O`Dea earned his tenth cap for Republic of Ireland. He replaced Stoke City defender Glen Whelan with sixteen minutes remaining, in their goalless draw with Croatia at the Aviva Stadium.

O`Dea has already been included in the provisional 32 man squad named by manager Giovanni Trapattoni for the Euro 2012 qualifiers against Russia and Slovakia next month.

Aidy White was also involved with the Republic of Ireland as he made his first appearance for the under 21s.

White started the game and completed 73 minutes before being replaced.

The 19-year-old set up Robert Brady for the equalising goal a minute before being substituted.

Ireland went on to win the game against Austria 2-1 with Brady scoring his second and the winner from the penalty spot in added time.

Snodgrass, White and O`Dea are all back in training whilst Gradel will report back for training on Friday on his return from the Ivory Coast.
