Leeds United have reportedly turned down an offer for Max Gradel.

Last season`s player of the year has been rumoured with a number of clubs since the end of last season with West Ham. Fulham, Stoke City, QPR, Swansea, Newcastle, Wigan Athletic and SV Hamburg all rumoured to be chasing his signature.

Leeds have now reportedly turned down an offer from fellow championship side West Ham United.

The Yorkshire Evening Post is reporting that the club have turned down an offer of £2 million, rising to £2.5 million with extras tied into his contract.

Gradel enjoyed a tremendous first full season at Elland Road, scoring 18 goals in total that as alerted these clubs as he enters the final year of his contract.

Leeds bosses insist that they are not willing to sell their star players, unless a club came in with what they call ‘a ridiculous offer.`
With Gradel moving into the final twelve months of his contract, will they be tempted to cash in or face another scenario like Jermaine Beckford, Bradley Johnson and Neil Kilkenny, who have all ran down their contracts and left free in the past two seasons.
