Leeds United are giving a trial to Lithuanian international Marius Zaliukas.

The 29-year-old defender is spending a short spell at Leeds Thorp Arch training ground after appearing for Lithuania this week in their final two World Cup qualifiers.

Zaliukas is without a club after being released by Scottish Premier League side Heart of Midlothian at the end of last season due to their financial problems.

He skippered the Edinburgh side to the Scottish Cup in 2012 during seven-years at Tynecastle where he made over 200 appearances.
