We are now just three weeks away from the start of the new championship season and Leeds have still brought in just three new players.
With the manager and players away in Slovenia this week, Brian McDermott says he is still working very hard on a long-term target but no new players will be brought in until after he returns to England on Wednesday.
This week, we have seen a couple of new names linked with a move to Elland Road.
32-year-old Brighton and Hove Albion defender Gordon Greer is being linked with a move to Leeds. Greer made 43 appearances for the seagulls last season as they reached the end of season play offs in the championship.
21-year-old winger Craig Goodwin is being linked with Leeds. Goodwin, who plays for Newcastle Jets in the Australian A League had a short trial at Brian McDermott`s former club Reading in April.
Of those that have already been linked with Leeds this summer, Manchester City defender Reece Wabara was again reported in the national press to be on the verge of a Leeds move in the past week.
Going out of the door, Ross McCormack, who was linked with Blackpool last week is now being linked with a move to Queens Park Rangers.
Transfer listed midfielder Danny Pugh is being linked with AFC Bournemouth. Pugh, who was transfer listed last summer is currently away with the Leeds squad in Slovenia and he has been a regular in the side so far this pre-season.
There are a few players who have been linked with a move back to Leeds this summer will not be joining the club.
Defender Matt Kilgallon signed for fellow championship side Blackburn Rovers at the start of the week.
Fellow defender Matthew Upson completed his move to Brighton and Hove Albion after spending time on loan with the south coast club last season.
All the rumours that I put up have been in the national press, local press or websites such as Skysports.com, Clubcall.com, and Teamtalk.com amongst others and not from sites where people just put up their wish list and make out that they have inside knowledge through their best mate`s uncle`s brother.
If you see or read any links with Leeds United then please let us know on here or on the forum.
