Vital Leeds United will once again be keeping you up to date with all the transfer rumours during the summer with a weekly update.
Once again this week, we are being linked with a number of foreign players including another one from Cagliari.
We start with a Brazilian playing in the English championship with Bolton Wanderers. Bolton midfielder Andre Moritz was linked with a move to Elland Road last weekend and he has stated since that he hasn`t signed for anyone yet.
Moritz made 23 appearances for Bolton last season after making the move from Crystal Palace last summer.
Leeds are reportedly interested in Inter Milan goalkeeper Rafaele Di Gennaro. The 20-year-old spent last season on loan with Serie B side Cittadella. The Italian under-20 international made 39 appearances.
Cagliari defender Marios Oikonomou is the latest to be linked with a Leeds move from the Sardinian club. 21-year-old Oikonomou is a central defender who has represented Greece at under-21 level. He made one appearance for Cagliari last season after joining them from Greek side PAS Giannina last summer.
Agim Ibraimi is another player with a link to Cagliari having spent last season on loan with the Serie A side from Slovenian side Maribor.
The 29-year-old is a vastly experienced Macedonian international. The winger made 25 appearances for Cagliari last season and he is now out of contract at Maribor.
Back to these shores and Leeds have been linked with a couple of players who are expected to ply their trade in League One next season.
23-year-old Scunthorpe United striker Sam Winnall helped the Iron win promotion from League Two last season. Winnall scored 23 goals in 45 appearances for Scunthorpe in his first season with the club following his move from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
26-year-old Jamaican international winger Chris Humphrey has been linked with a Leeds move in the past few days.
Humphrey helped Preston North End reach the League One play-offs last season as he made 44 appearances for the Lilywhites. Humphrey joined Preston last summer after four seasons north of the border at Motherwell. His form last season saw him called into the Jamaican international squad and he played alongside Leeds midfielder Rodolph Austin in their four international friendlies at the end of the season.
Former loan goalkeeper Jack Butland is being linked with a return on loan next season after he spent the final three months of last season on loan at Elland Road.
The seven players linked with Leeds this week takes the total to 48 already this summer.
Going out of the door, there are two more teams to add to the list of clubs reportedly chasing Ross McCormack. Premier League sides Aston Villa and Sunderland are now reportedly interested in McCormack and that is now thirteen clubs that have been linked with the striker already this summer.
Having already been linked with a move to Bolton Wanderers, Blackburn Rovers and Nottingham Forest, Huddersfield Town are the latest club being linked with Lee Peltier.
Peltier was loaned out by Leeds towards the end of last season but it is unclear whether new coach David Hockaday sees an Elland Road future for the defender who has one year remaining on his current deal.
Now onto a few players who will not be joining Leeds but they have been linked this summer.
Wolves defender Richard Stearman was linked with Leeds in week one but he has now signed a new two-year deal at Molineux.
Arsenal striker Chuks Aneke was linked with Leeds only last week but he has signed for Belgian side Zulte Waregem this weekend.
All the players listed have been mentioned in the national press or by an established website and not someone who is supposedly ITK who has an auntie in the ticket office whose daughter goes out with a youth team player, if you know what I mean.
If you see any players linked with a move to or away from Elland Road then please let us know on Vital Leeds.
