Leeds United have placed Mike Grella and Federico Bessone on the transfer list.

The duo have been told they are free to find new clubs after failing to make an impression during Leeds first season in the Championship.

Grella, who still has a year remaining on his current contract, made just two substitute appearances in the first two games of the season, before spending time on loan at Carlisle United and Swindon Town.

The American upset boss Leeds Simon Grayson after cutting his loan spell short at Swindon, as he was not happy sitting on the bench with the League One club.

The 24 year old has made 42 appearances for Leeds, with only 9 of them being starts since joining the club in January 2009.

Bessone still has two years to run on his contract after signing for Leeds in the summer of 2010.

The defender started the first eight games of last season before injury.

The 27 year old failed to win his place back in the side once he returned to full fitness and spent the last three months of the season on loan at Charlton Athletic.

The pair are added to the list of players that Simon Grayson doesn`t see in his plans for next season after Richard Naylor and Shane Higgs were both released earlier this week.

Neil Kilkenny and Bradley Johnson are both out of contract and no decision as yet been made on their futures at Elland Road.
