Leeds started their pre season programme with an exciting 3-3 draw at York City.

The Whites took a 22 man squad and named a different starting eleven for each half.

Summer signings Jason Crowe and Shane Higgs made their debuts for the club.

Transfer listed Jermaine Beckford played the first half for Leeds.

York took a shock lead halfway through the first half when Adam Smith scored from distance.

Leeds were back on level terms before half time, Lucciano Becchio equalising.

Enoch Showunmi made his comeback for Leeds in the second half, his first game since before Christmas.

Fabian Delph also played the second half with Tottenham`s new chief scout Ian Broomfield watching from the stands.

Leeds youngster Mike Whitwell gave them the lead early in the second half after good work from Showunmi.

Another Leeds youngster Andy Milne increased the lead inside the least ten minutes this time after a good cross from Andy Robinson.

York pulled what looked like a consolation goal back going into injury time from Alex Lawless.

There was still time however for York to equalise when a trialist scored for the Minstermen.

A good work out for the Leeds squad in their first run out of the summer. Leeds head now for Ireland and are quickly in action again when they play Shelbourne on Tuesday night.
