According to reports Leeds United are the latest club to show an interest in Wolves striker Sam Vokes.

Vokes who celebrates his 20th birthday next week has struggled to find his way into the Wolves side since their promotion to the Premiership this season and could be about to sign until the New Year.

A number of Championship clubs including Newcastle, Coventry, Doncaster Rovers and Derby County are also chasing the current Welsh international.

With Luciano Becchio injured, Leeds may want to bolster their striker options before Monday`s live TV League One clash against Norwich City.

He started his career at Bournemouth bursting onto the scene as a 17 year old and despite scoring 12 goals for the South coast club in his first full season, he couldn`t help them avoid relegation.

Wolves came in to sign the highly thought of striker at the end of the season, beating off competition from clubs including Celtic and Everton.

Despite scoring on the opening day of the 2008/09 season when coming off the bench to score he`s struggled to establish himself in the Wolves side, making only 7 starts and 32 substitute appearances in all competitions in last seasons promotion winning side and scoring 6 goals.

His only start this season came in the Carling Cup clash against Swindon Town, he`s also made four substitute appearances in the Premiership but has yet to score.

He`s made 15 appearances for the full Welsh side and scored 2 goals including one in their opening 2010 World Cup qualifier against Azebaijan.
