Leeds United have been given a bye in the First Round of the Johnstone`s Paint Trophy for the 2009/10 season.

16 clubs received byes, 8 from the Northern section and eight from the Southern.

When Leeds United joins the draw they will be in the North East section.

Byes

Northern Section:
Grimsby Town, Hartlepool United, LEEDS UNITED, Macclesfield Town, Notts County, Port Vale, Shrewsbury Town and Tranmere Rovers.

Southern Section:
Aldershot, Brighton and Hove Albion, Charlton Athletic, Exeter City, Leyton Orient, Southampton, Southend United and Swindon Town.

There are two Northern sections and two Southern sections, teams in the first round draw are:

North West:
Accrington Stanley, Bury, Carlisle United, Crewe Alexandra, Morecambe, Oldham Athletic, Stockport County and Walsall.

North East:
Bradford City, Burton Albion, Chesterfield, Darlington, Huddersfield Town, Lincoln City, Rochdale and Rotherham United.

South West:
AFC Bournemouth, Bristol Rovers, Cheltenham Town, Hereford United, Northampton Town, Torquay United, Wycombe Wanderers and Yeovil Town.

South East:
Barnet, Brentford, Colchester United, Dagenham & Redbridge, Gillingham, Millwall, MK Dons and Norwich City

The draw for the first round will take place on Soccer AM on Saturday 15th August.

The first round ties will take place week commencing 31st August.
