Gary McAllister has put a stop to media speculation linking Leeds with Sunderland striker Anthony Stokes.

He did admit that Leeds showed an interest in bringing the striker to the club last season but the player showed no interest in joining Leeds so the interest was soon ended.

Speaking on the official website the boss said “If players are reluctant to take an opportunity here then it`s not something we pursue”

After the super goals Leeds scored on Saturday he also added “After that performance do I need to be looking?”
