Leeds United have completed their seventh signing of the summer with the capture of Alex Bruce from Ipswich Town.

The defender has signed a two-year deal with the option of a further year for an undisclosed fee.

Leeds boss Simon Grayson was delighted to see Bruce join him at Leeds having failed to land the defender last summer, speaking on the official website, Grayson said, “Alex is going to be a good member of the squad. He can play at centre back, right back and as a holding midfielder.”

The 25 year old is an experienced central defender; he has made almost 200 appearances for Blackburn, Birmingham, Sheffield Wednesday, Oldham, Tranmere, Leicester and Ipswich.
