Leeds United continued their 100% start to the season with a comfortable victory at Rochdale.

Max Gradel scored the only goal of the game on the half hour to ensure victory.

Simon Grayson was forced into three changes with Patrick Kisnorbo, Robert Snodgrass and Lloyd Sam all picking up knocks at Motherwell.

An unnamed trialist was in the starting eleven whilst two named trialists, J. Lloyd Samuel and Isaiah Osbourne were amongst the substitutes.

Grayson once again took the opportunity to give everyone in the squad a game, using twenty-one players.

Leeds had the first chance of the night when Ross McCormack shot wide.

McCormack then went close again when Duke saved his effort after good work from the trialist.

Rochdale thought they had taken the lead when O`Grady shot past Rachubka but the offside flag was up.

Rachubka was then forced into a save when he tipped over a shot from Tutte.

Max Gradel gave Leeds the lead on the half hour when he cut back in on his left foot to fire past Duke in the Rochdale goal.

The goal from Gradel was enough to separate the sides at half time.

Grayson made five changes at half time, including the introduction of J. Lloyd Samuel.

Leigh Bromby had the first chance of the second half when he headed just wide.

Nunez was again looking a threat and tested the Rochdale keeper.

The game had petered out as any sort of competitive game and Leeds made their final substitution of the night when Alex Cairns replaced Rachubka in goal.

Leeds now prepare for a Yorkshire derby against Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough on Saturday.
