Leeds United enjoyed a good work out in their opening pre season game in Slovakia despite losing 1-0.

Simon Grayson gave debuts to all six-summer signings and also involved the two Slovakian trialists who are currently with the club.

With the side only returning to training on the July 1st Grayson took the opportunity to field two different sides in each half.

Leeds three goalkeepers were given around half an hour each with new signing Kasper Schmeichel starting the game.

MFK Ruzomberok who finished last season in fifth spot in the Slovakian top flight are ready to start their new season and they started the sharper.

They won the game with the only goal of the game just past the quarter hour when Jan Chovanec was able to pick his spot from the edge of the area.

Leeds improved in the second half, Davide Somma having a goal ruled out for a tight offside decision and Robert Snodgrass came closest of all when his shot came back off the inside of the post.

A good workout for Leeds despite the defeat and they now get ready to play the final game of their mini Slovakian tour against MFK Kosice.
