Having got into the play off places last weekend Leeds travelled to Bristol Rovers full of confidence.

Leeds were forced into only one change from the side that drew at Oldham, Howson returns from suspension for Bradley Johnson who now has to serve a one match ban himself.

Ankergren was called into action early and he was forced into a save to keep out Duffy.

The let off was short lived though, Pipe crossed into the middle and Hughes was there to put the hosts into the lead.

Bristol looked the better side in the first quarter of the game so it must have hurt when Leeds drew level just short of the half hour, Snodgrass put a great ball into the middle and it was headed in by Becchio for his second goal in two games.

Leeds would have been back on level terms after being second best for most of the first half hour.

With another game in just three days time it was worrying that both Kilkenny and Marques suffered head injuries in the first half hour.

The sides went in at half time all square.

The hosts had a good chance to retake the lead from the kick off but Duffy`s weak lob was easy for Leeds to clear.

Beckford had Leeds first effort of the half soon after when his header was saved.

Leeds took the lead just short of the hour when Roberts Snodgrass gave Phillips no chance in the Bristol goal with his free kick from 20 yards.

Leeds were now controlling the game and Beckford`s long range effort just went just over the bar.

Duffy gave Leeds a warning going into the last ten minutes when his effort was cleared off the line.

Leeds should have wrapped the game up inside the last ten minutes when they had a three on one but both Delph and Snodgrass failed to control the ball.

Just when Leeds thought they had the three points in the bag Bristol substitute Jo Kuffour equalised for the hosts in stoppage time.

Leeds will be disappointed to have dropped two points, they now have two home games in the next week against struggling Yeovil and Swindon so will have hopefully cemented their place in the play offs by next week has it`s only Leeds home form that`s currently keeping them in the promotion hunt.
