Leeds United fans can look forward to over 6000 miles on the road next season.

Travelling from Elland Road, Leeds, to the ground of all twenty-three grounds of the clubs opponents, will see you clock up 6626 miles if travelling on the motorway.

Leeds will have just three games with a round trip of fewer than 100 miles. Barnsley will be the game most local next season, just 22 miles from Elland Road.

The fans will spend a lot of time on the M1, with five games against midlands opposition and ten games south of Watford.

Leeds longest away day will be the trip to Brighton and Hove Albion where they will clock up a 514 mile round trip.

Luckily the fans can look forward to sitting in the new 22,500 purpose built American Express community stadium rather than the uncovered running track (and it usually rained) Withdean Stadium.

In a league, that is largely south of Leeds the fans will have ten games where they will have a round trip of close to and over 400 miles.

Leeds fans continued to follow in large numbers last season, selling out 21 of their 23 away allocations.

The only games they failed to sell out were the trips to Swansea, for a Saturday lunchtime kick off that was being shown live on TV.

Leeds only just failed to sell out the allocation with the club taking 2,944 fans to the game.

Crystal Palace was the other game on Easter Monday where they still managed to take 5,300 fans.

Some huge crowds followed the club with 6,732 travelling to Barnsley on a Tuesday night and 6,366 to Coventry City.

Leeds also took 9,037 to Arsenal for a FA Cup third round tie with the club receiving over 13,000 ticket applications for the game.

*The mileage as been taken from a well-known Automobile Association website and is worked out from ground to ground, including a round trip.
