Leeds United fans continue to lead the way in the Football League this season as they watch their team around the country.
The latest figure released show that an average of 3186 fans have travelled with Leeds United to away games this season. Leeds average is over 700 fans ahead of Nottingham Forest who are in second place.
It is made even more remarkable by the fact that fans continue to be messed around by Sky TV and the local constabularies. In the last week, Leeds fans from the city have had to travel over 1000 miles to see a lunchtime kick off at Yeovil Town last Saturday, a game being shown live on the TV and this was followed up by a midweek trip to the south coast to face Brighton and Hove Albion.
Leeds have already sold over 3000 tickets for the trip to Middlesbrough on Saturday, another game that is kicking off at lunchtime due to the demands of Sky TV.
Only last week, Burnley released a statement that they had refused to bring forward the kick-off of the clash at Turf Moor despite local authorities asking them to move the kick-off to lunchtime. Had the game at Burnley been moved, Leeds would have gone without a 3pm Saturday away clash in 2014 until their penultimate away game of the season at Barnsley.
