LUFC Leeds extend trial of Scottish international

Leeds United are to extend the trial of midfielder Michael Stewart.

Stewart has spent the last two weeks on trial at Leeds and boss Simon Grayson wants to take a further look at the former Manchester United and Hearts midfielder. Speaking on the official website, Grayson said, “We`re going to take an extended look at Michael.
‘He’s done Okay while he’s been here and he`s shown the qualities that have seen him play for the likes of Manchester United and Hearts. Because he’s done well and fitted in well, we’re going to take more of a look at him and see how things go.’

The 29 year old, who has also played for Scotland on four occasions, played recently in Leeds behind closed doors friendly draw with York City.

Stewart has been without a club since leaving Turkish club Gençlerbirliği in January after claming they had not honoured his contract agreement.
