Leeds United have denied making a bid for Rochdale`s Scott Hogan after reports last week said the League One side had turned down a bid from Leeds.

The club took to their official twitter account to deny making a move for Hogan who scored when the sides met in the FA Cup in January.

@LUFC `The club would like to respond to speculation regarding Rochdale’s Scott Hogan. The club have made no bid for the player.`

Hogan scored 19 goals in 40 appearances for Rochdale last season as they won promotion to League One.
