Leeds United are confident that Saturday`s game with Wycombe Wanderers will go ahead despite the heavy snowfall that has affected the country this week.

The Leeds area saw heavy snowfall on Tuesday with up to eight inches in areas.

Speaking on the official website Leeds Chief Executive Shaun Harvey said “The pitch has a light covering of snow, but is perfectly playable. It is the areas around the stadium which require the greater attention”.

The club already have plans in place to eradicate this problem with machinery being brought in to sort out any problem areas around the stadium.

With the country still expected to be kept in the grips of the cold front until early next week, Leeds will continue to monitor the weather forecast for the rest of this week.
