Leeds United have appointed Chris Sulley as their new Academy manager.

Sulley comes to Elland Road with a wealth of experience having worked in coaching since retiring from playing in 1994.
He has coaching experience at Preston North End, Blackburn Rovers and Bolton Wanderers where he was the Academy manager for eight years.

The 51 year old enjoyed a thirteen-year playing career, making over 400 appearances at Bournemouth, Dundee United, Blackburn Rovers, Port Vale and Preston North End.

The left back spent most of his career at Bournemouth where he made over 200 appearances before joining Scottish Premier League side Dundee United.

Sulley was with Dundee United and played in the early rounds of the 198/87 UEFA Cup, when they reached final before losing 1-0 to Gothenburg.

Sulley takes up his post at Elland Road from today and he will be hoping to help Leeds continue to develop talent that`s included Jonathan Woodgate, Paul Robinson, Alan Smith, Harry Kewell and Ian Harte during the 1990`s and Fabian Delph and John Howson in more recent seasons.
