Leeds United will be seeded when the first round of the Carling Cup is drawn this Wednesday morning at 9.30am.
The first round will once again regionalised and split into two sections, North and South.
Leeds are one of the fifteen clubs seeded in the Northern section.
Leeds travelled to Darlington at the same stage last season where an Enoch Showunmi was enough to send Leeds through.
They eventually bowed out at the third round stage when they narrowly lost to Liverpool 1-0 at Elland Road.
