Continuing with the review of Leeds year we start again in July and continue through the first few months of the season.
July

The Whites beat Barnet 2-0 in their latest pre season game and follow this up with a 0-0 draw at Darlington.
August
Leeds easily beat Belgian side FCV Dender who replaced Sporting Lokeren in their only home friendly 4-1.
Forward Tresor Kandol joins fellow League One side Millwall on loan until January.
Defender Frazer Richardson is announced as the new Leeds skipper ahead of the season.
Leeds secure an opening day win at Scunthorpe 2-1 with a late winner from Beckford.
United cruise through to the second round of the carling cup beating Chester 5-2, Beckford again steals the show with a classy hat trick. In the second round they have a home draw against Championship side Crystal Palace.
The home campaign starts with a disappointing 2-0 defeat against Oldham, they follow this up with a 1-1 draw at Yeovil and a 2-2 home draw against Bristol Rovers to see them lying in 14th place at the end of the month.
Leeds draw local rivals Bradford City in the first round of the Johnstone`s Paint Trophy.
Progression in the Carling Cup is made to look easy with an empathic 4-0 victory over Championship side Crystal Palace.
Curtis Weston leaves Leeds and joins Gillingham on a free transfer.
Leeds are charged by the football league for using an unlicensed agent when securing the transfer of Anthony Elding in January, they are later cleared of any wrong doing.

Leeds ease into the second round of the Johnstone`s Paint Trophy when beating Bradford 2-1 in front of over 20,000 fans at Elland Road.
Fabian Delph signs a new and improved four year deal, a number of Premiership clubs have been watching the talented midfielder.
Rotherham are Leeds next opponents in the Johnstone`s Paint Trophy at The Don Valley Stadium.
Leeds return to League action and hammer five past Crewe, two injury time goals and the sending off of Lubo Michalik fail to take the gloss of a superb Leeds performance.
Leeds claim all three points at Swindon with a 3-1 victory, the result is even more impressive, Leeds having to play for 80 minutes with ten men after Alan Sheehan was sent off early on for a reckless tackle.
Alan Sheehan gets a three match ban for his sending off at Swindon, his second red card in six games for the Whites.
Leeds continue with their impressive run with victories over Carlisle, Hartlepool in the Carling Cup and Hereford in the League to make it six wins in a row. These results see Leeds climb to third in the table one point behind leaders Oldham.
In the next round of the Carling Cup Leeds draw the winners of the Brighton or Derby game away (eventually Derby).
Look out for the final installment later when Leeds installed their third manager of 2008.
