Bristol City manager Lee Johnson felt Leeds midfielder Ronaldo Vieira ran the show at Ashton Gate.

Vieira returned to the starting line-up for the first time in the Championship this season and he added the extra bite that had been missing from recent Leeds performances as they ran out 3-0 winners.

His hard work in the midfield for Leeds allowed Samu Saiz, who scored twice, Ezgjan Alioski and Kalvin Phillips to cause problems in the final third and the Bristol City boss was quick to praise the 19-year-olds performance.

“I thought Vieira ran the show for 20-30 minutes,” Johnson told the Bristol City website.

The young midfielder, who was the clubs young player of the year last season, has had a frustrating start to the season under new head coach Thomas Christiansen, with his only previous starts this season coming in the Carabao Cup.

Vieira, who helped England lift the Toulon Trophy in the summer, missed the defeat to Reading last weekend with a knee injury but his performance at Bristol City should see him become a regular now under Christiansen.
