Leeds United`s influential defender Patrick Kisnorbo could be back for Leeds in the next few weeks according to Leeds boss Simon Grayson.

A report on Radio Leeds on Saturday suggested that Kisnorbo was going to miss the rest of the season with an Achilles injury, but Grayson says that Kisnorbo will hopefully be back by mid February to quickly quash the rumour.

Kisnorbo hasn`t played since the 3-0 defeat at Swindon Town at the back end of January and he`s missed the last five games with Leeds only managing one clean sheet in the process.

The Australian international as quickly become a fans favourite since arriving from Leicester City in the summer with his no nonsense defending.

The 29 year old suffered a head injury on the opening day of the season that required twelve stitches and he`s sported a bandage on his head ever since.

His attitude was epitomised in the FA Cup win over Manchester United when pictures were seen of him after the match celebrating the win with blood pouring down his face and into his mouth.

Leeds fans will be desperate to see him return to a defence that only conceded nineteen goals before the New Year in all competitions, but have now conceded eighteen goals since the turn of the year.
