Following on from the news on Thursday that Leeds expected Bradley Johnson to depart in the summer, the club have now announced that they expect Neil Kilkenny to join him in leaving Elland Road.

The 25 year old is out of contract this summer and after no response from the player or his agent about the new deal that Leeds have offered him the club are ready to move on.

Speaking on the official website , boss Simon Grayson said, “This is another issue we wanted resolving as we have to prepare for next season.
“I`m keen to move on so we can plan accordingly in terms of what we have and what we need.”

Kilkenny joined Leeds in January 2008 from Birmingham City and made 144 appearances for the club including 37 in the clubs first season back in the Championship.

He will join Johnson in leaving the club on a free transfer this summer after coming to the end of his contract.
