Leeds United manager Simon Grayson says the club have already agreed a deal to bring in a goalkeeper even before the sale of Schmeichel was agreed.

Leeds currently have no recognised goalkeeper in the squad for next season after releasing Alan Martin and Shane Higgs and agreeing to sell Kasper Schmeichel to Leicester City on Monday.

Grayson trying to calm the unrest amongst Leeds supporters admits that the club have already agreed to sign one goalkeeper and are on the look out for another.

Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Grayson said, ‘A week or so ago, before all this with Kasper, we agreed a deal, subject to a medical, with a goalkeeper who will come in, but we will be looking for another as well.’

Leeds have been rumoured with a number of goalkeepers since the end of the season.

Coventry City goalkeeper Keiren Westwood has been strongly linked with a move to Elland Road, with the club rumoured to have made contact with the out of contract keeper.

Jason Brown is another keeper being linked after he enjoyed a loan spell at Elland Road last season and he is now a free agent after being released by Blackburn Rovers.
