Leeds United have confirmed that Bradley Johnson is expected to be leaving the club this summer.

The midfielder is out of contract at the end of June and looks like moving on after the player`s agent informed the club that he is keeping his options open, having already received two offers from Premier League clubs.

Leeds boss Simon Grayson is disappointed to be losing a player who played in all but one of the clubs Championship games last season.

Speaking on the official website , Grayson said, ‘It’s disappointing that it looks like Bradley won’t be re-signing. We felt we made the player a suitable offer.’
‘I’d like to thank Bradley for his contribution while I’ve been here, but the contractual situation that we work in nowadays means that players have the ability to make choices such as this.
‘This is a situation we wanted resolving as a club because we’re looking ahead to next season and planning ahead.’

Johnson was placed on the transfer list at Elland Road in November after turning down a new contract with the club.

Despite being placed on the transfer list, Johnson continued to be a regular in the Leeds midfield.

Johnson recently won the goal of the season for his superb strike in the FA Cup replay with Arsenal in January, one of six goals he scored during the season.

The 24 year old made 140 appearances for Leeds after joining from Northampton Town in January 2008.
