Leeds United`s walking wounded are all nearing a return to action to boost boss Simon Grayson`s squad ahead of the busy Christmas schedule.

Despite the news Grayson doesn`t want to and doesn`t need to rush them back with the club continuing to set the pace in League One.

Speaking on the official website Grayson said “The players are making good progress. They won`t be too far away over the next few weeks, but you don`t want to rush them back”.

Luciano Becchio has been missing since damaging his ankle against Charlton in early October.

Shane Higgs suffered a thigh injury towards the end of September, made a brief comeback against Norwich in mid October, and has been missing since.

Defender Jason Crowe is back in training after suffering a hamstring injury at the end of September in the game at MK Dons

Rui Marques completed ninety minutes in a behind closed door friendly on Monday against Middlesbrough.

Mike Grella missed last weeks reserve fixture with an illness, but he is now back in training.
