Leeds defender Paul Huntington looks set for another lengthy lay off when he goes under the surgeon`s knife next week to sort out the groin injury that`s troubled him since September.

The former Newcastle defender has not played for Leeds since the Carling Cup tie against Hartlepool back in September, he was close to a first team come back recently but suffered a reoccurrence of the problem in a behind closed doors friendly.

With Leeds leaking goals all season it comes as another blow to boss Gary McAllister who is hoping to revive Leeds fading promotion push with a win on Saturday against Colchester.
