Leeds United travel to non League Histon Town on Sunday for an FA Cup second round tie in front of the live TV cameras.

For those Leeds fans like me who know very little about the non league opponents here`s a quick get to know Histon Town guide.

Histon Town
They are based three miles outside Cambridge and play at the Glassworld stadium.

Their record attendance was last season when 3,721 saw them play local rivals Cambridge United.

They are currently top of the Blue Square Premiership in only their second ever season at this level. They finished in 7th place last season.

Form

Histon Town
They are currently top of the Blue square Premiership and got there last weekend when they thrashed Oxford United 5-2 at home.
They have won nine of their last eleven games.

In the first Round of the FA Cup they were giant killers when they beat League One side Swindon Town 1-0 with a goal from Danny Wright at home.

With John Beck the assistant manager at Histon I am sure they play quite a lot of long balls into the box to aim for two big centre forwards if his day`s at Cambridge United are anything to go by.

Recent results (Last game first) WWWWLW

Leeds United
Leeds lost in midweek 2-1 at Northampton Town, a result that sees them drop out of the play off places.

Leeds got through to the second round after beating Northampton Town at the second attempt, after drawing the first game 1-1 at Leeds the Whites ran out comprehensive 5-2 winners in the replay.

Team News
Histon
Antonio Murray, Jamie Barker and Josh Simpson all face late fitness tests.

Leeds
Leeds will be without 19 goal leading scorer Jermaine Beckford who suffered a hamstring injury in midweek.

Rui Marques and Alan Sheehan are back in contention after both playing 90 minutes in a midweek friendly match.
Malcolm ‘sick note` Christie is still sidelined after making his debut in the FA Cup replay at Northampton.

History

Histon have never got past the second Round of the FA Cup.

Leeds United won the FA Cup in 1972 and have been beaten finalists on three occasions 1965, 1970 and 1973.

This will be the first time Histon Town and Leeds United have ever met so I took a look at Leeds history in the FA Cup against non league sides.
The good news is Leeds have never been beaten by a team from outside the Football League although they have been made to struggle on a few occasions.
The last time they came up against non League opponents it took them two attempts to beat Rushden and Diamonds.

They have though been on the wrong end of some embarrassing results in the FA Cup over the years; probably the worst ever was when the famous Revie team of the 70`s lost 3-2 at Fourth Division Colchester United in 1971 ( I am sure they will show the goals from this game on the TV before Sunday`s game).
