Leeds United goalkeeper Shane Higgs looks set to make his long awaited comeback from injury for the reserves next week.

Higgs has been dogged with a thigh injury since the end of September when he was forced off in the game at Milton Keynes Dons. He made a comeback against Norwich in mid October only to suffer a reoccurrence of the injury inside the opening fifteen minutes, which has kept him out ever since.

Leeds boss Simon Grayson speaking on the official website said, “He`s been out a long time and it`s been a frustrating time for him, but he`s been doing ball work and we`ll see how he goes”.

The former Cheltenham keeper joined Leeds in the summer and quickly made the number one spot his own with commanding and consistent performances between the sticks.
