New Leeds United signing Jay-Roy Grot says he is delighted to sign for the club.

The forward has signed for Leeds on a four-year deal for an undisclosed fee from Dutch club NEC Nijmegen and he becomes Leeds 13th signing of the summer.

Grot was unveiled by Leeds this morning and he says it is a big step in his career and he has always wanted to play in England.

“I am very happy, this is such a big club and this is a big step in my career, I am delighted to signed for Leeds United,” Grot told the Leeds official website.

“It was been my dream to play in England and so to do that at a club like Leeds is really exciting.”

The 19-year-old made 31 appearances for NEC Nijmegen scoring five times. Grot has also represented the Netherland under-19 side, and he scored in the win against Germany in the recent European under-19 championships.

Grot will go straight into the Leeds squad for the trip to Nottingham Forest this weekend.
